At our recent Town Hall, Donaldson employees demonstrated that giving back is at the heart of who we are. Team members rallied to donate nonperishable food items in support of So What Else, a local nonprofit serving underserved families and youth across Maryland and the D.C. region.
Founded in 2009, So What Else provides critical services including daily food distribution, youth enrichment programs, and volunteer-powered community outreach. Their mission is simple but powerful- to improve the lives of children and families facing food insecurity and limited access to educational resources.
So What Else serves hundreds of families every day, distributes millions of pounds of food each year, and hosts dozens of volunteer events annually, all made possible through community partnerships and an extraordinary team of volunteers.
Our Town Hall food drive not only provided tangible support to local families, but it also marked the beginning of a deeper partnership. Donaldson is currently planning an on-site volunteer event with So What Else, where team members will help sort, pack, and distribute meals directly to those in need. We’re excited to roll up our sleeves and contribute on the front lines of community impact. When we come together in service, we create lasting change. Thank you to everyone who contributed!
